Insert the SmartMedia card in the reader. Run the smprep1.exe file let it "fix" (Damaging the CIS) the card. Always run a full format! It should report no CIS and will attempt to fix it. Then run smprep2.exe and it will again fix the card, this time correctly, and it will also add the Olympus Pan info. You shouldn't get any errors this time. These files will put Olympus Panorama and camera format on any SmartMedia card and can repair cards for other cameras!PAN 2.0 - 1.1 files are backwards compatible with PAN 1.0 for most cameras!
